Asteroid City

Asteroid City is a romantic comedy set in 1955 in an American desert town, where an astronomy convention called Junior Stargazer is taking place. The lives of the various characters participating in the event are turned upside down by an incredible close encounter with aliens, which leads them to reflect on the meaning of their existence and their relationships

The film is an homage to 1950s science fiction cinema, with a scene full of detail and bright colors, comic-style cinematography and a nostalgic soundtrack. Director Wes Anderson manages to create a fascinating imaginary world, populated by eccentric and funny characters, played by a stellar cast that includes Margot Robbie, Tom Hanks, Scarlett Johansson, Bryan Cranston, Steve Carell and many others

Asteroid City is a film that entertains and moves, that mixes irony and poetry, that celebrates curiosity and imagination. It is also a reflection on the relationship between humanity and the universe, between the past and the future, between reality and dreams. A film that does not disappoint the expectations of Wes Anderson fans and that conquers even those who don't know him

My personal rating of Asteroid City is 4 stars out of 5. I recommend it to anyone who loves original and intelligent comedies, anyone who appreciates Wes Anderson's visual and storytelling style, and anyone who wants to spend an hour and a half of pure entertainment.
