How I Met Your Mother
How I Met Your Mother is an American sitcom about the adventures of Ted Mosby, an architect looking for his soul mate, and his friends Marshall, Lily, Barney and Robin. The series is narrated by Ted in the future, as he tells his children how he met their mother.
The series consists of nine seasons, for a total of 208 episodes, broadcast by CBS from 2005 to 2014, it was created by Craig Thomas and Carter Bays, who were inspired by their life experiences in New York. How I Met Your Mother received many awards and nominations, including Emmy Awards, Golden Globe Awards and People's Choice Awards. The series also had a spin-off called How I Met Your Dad, which never aired.
How I Met Your Mother is a fun, romantic, emotional and full of twists series. The characters are well fleshed out and have great chemistry with each other. The series explores themes such as friendship, love, destiny, choices and regrets. The series also has many recurring gags, such as the legendary Barney, the finger pinch game, the blue French horn and the yellow cab driver's hat.
The main plot consists of Ted's search for a soul mate with whom to marry and start a family; next to him unfold the story of the young lovers Marshall and Lily, the womanizer Barney and Robin, much more than a friend for Ted. Each episode shows the daily adventures of the five friends in New York at the beginning of the third millennium, between bars, apartments, work and love.
The series is one of my favorites because it made me laugh, cry, dream and reflect. The series also has a controversial ending, which I personally liked but which divided the fans. The series is an excellent romantic comedy that I recommend to all those who love love stories and laughter.
The series is available for streaming on Disney+ and JustWatch.
