Citadel

Citadel is a spy-action TV series that follows the adventures of two former agents of a secret organization called the Citadel, who find themselves embroiled in a global war against a threat called the Manticore. The series is produced by brothers Anthony and Joe Russo, known for their Marvel films, and stars Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

 The series stands out for its fast pace, its spectacular action scenes and its twists and turns that keep the viewer glued to the screen. The plot is intricate and full of mysteries, which are gradually revealed over the course of six episodes. The characters are well characterized and have good chemistry with each other, especially the two protagonists, who have to face their past and their feelings.

 The series is also a tribute to the great spy films, such as Mission: Impossible, The Bourne Identity and James Bond, but without slavishly copying them. On the contrary, Citadel tries to raise the bar and propose something original and ambitious, both visually and narratively.

 Citadel is a TV series that I recommend to all lovers of the spy thriller genre, but also to those looking for a captivating and engaging story, with interesting and charismatic characters. The series has been available on Prime Video since April 28, 2023 and has already achieved great success with audiences and critics. Furthermore, an Italian spin-off starring Matilda De Angelis is planned.

 My final rating is 4 out of 5 stars. Citadel is a TV series that does not disappoint and offers strong emotions and unexpected surprises. It's a TV series worth watching.
