 Austin Powers is a fun parody of sixties spy films, especially those with James Bond.  The protagonist is Austin Powers, an English secret agent who follows the fashion and women of Carnaby Street.  His enemy is Doctor Evil, a mad scientist who wants to conquer the world with his sinister plans.  When Doctor Evil hibernates and awakens in 1997, Austin does the same to stop him.  But he finds himself lost in a world very different from the one he knew.  With the help of Vanessa Kensington, daughter of his former partner, Austin will have to face the dangers of Doctor Evil and his henchmen, including the seductive Annabella Fagina and the mysterious Number 2.


 The film is a hilarious comedy, full of jokes, comic situations and cultural references to the sixties.  Mike Myers plays both Austin Powers and Doctor Evil, demonstrating his versatility and comedic talent of him.  The film was a huge box office success and spawned two sequels: Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me and Austin Powers in Goldmember.  If you like parodies and laughs, this film is for you.

The Flash is a film that surprised me positively. Not being a big fan of the comic book character, I didn't have high expectations for this film, but I must say that I really enjoyed following the adventures of Barry Allen, played by a charismatic Ezra Miller. The film is based on the famous Flashpoint story arc, in which the protagonist travels back in time to save his mother and creates an alternate world full of dangers and surprises. The film manages to balance action, humor and emotion well, without ever being boring or too confusing. Andy Muschietti's direction is dynamic and engaging, and Benjamin Wallfisch's soundtrack is suitable for various situations.
